Meet the Team

Say hello to our amazing team!

Miss Maria

Montessori early years educator

About Miss Maria

I spent the first twenty one years of my working life as a shipping lawyer in the city of London, the last decade of which I practiced as an equity partner. After my father passed away I realised how short life is and, in my grief, I reflected on what I truly want to achieve in my life and on what would make me feel genuinely happy.

I want to make a difference, and helping children learn their first words and numbers, how to develop independence and confidence has given me a new purpose and a career which is both fulfilling and joyous.

After some work experience and jobs in nurseries I trained and obtained my level 4 Montessori diploma from MCI, London where I met Haleh who offered me this wonderful job as nursery manager and teacher. I haven’t looked back since.

Miss Kim

Montessori early years educator

About Miss Kim

Life comes full circle for me at New World Montessori nursery. My first encounter was when my own daughter attended the setting 12 years ago, in 2010. I was equal parts fascinated and drawn to the Montessori philosophy and method as a parent, which led me to study it further and now I get to experience it as a teacher!

I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy from Montessori Centre International (MCI). This was next time I crossed paths with New World Montessori – this time as a student where I completed my professional placement 7 years ago. It’s almost serendipitous that when I qualified, I started working as a Montessori Teacher at this setting.

Away from being “Ms. Kim”, I am passionate about making a mess in the kitchen with all things culinary, getting muddy and tired in nature, wandering (sometimes getting lost) in new places in foreign countries and shutting down with a good book and a glass of something nice 😉

Miss Alisson

Montessori early years educator

About Miss Alisson

Being French and living near Paris, I decided to come to the UK to learn English. I became a mum of 2 boys and studied childcare and I have been qualified in NVQ3 and Montessori Teacher level 4.

I really like the Montessori approach, it focuses on the child’s independence, needs and their own will at their own pace.

I joined New World Montessori when I was a student at first, where I worked as a Montessori teacher for a few years in the St. Peter’s branch, until I joined the St Barnabas team in September 2022.

Miss Naseebah

Early years educator

About Miss Naseebah

I have worked in childcare for over 5 years and thoroughly believe in teaching through the Montessori method as it initiates self-directed activity, hands on learning and collaborative play to achieve the Early Year Foundation stage learning intentions.

I have a firm belief that every child is gifted and it is up to us as teachers to inspire them to learn and unwrap the best of them.
